Acting Classes: In-Person & Virtual Options

Rhoxon Production hosts 4-week acting workshops that develop industry-ready performers, helping them feel comfortable in their future theater and on-screen roles.
Our acting classes are designed for flexibility among performers, as we know that dialogue delivery, presence and overall technique is unique to each performance venue. Depending on your experience level, we provide hands-on learning that can strengthen your acting basics, or build your existing skillset in critical ways.

The classes are led by award-winning actor Katie Nixon, with special guest instructors currently working in NYC and LA.
Our acting class covers:
Theater Acting
Two weeks of our acting class workshop are devoted solely to theater-based roles. First, students will prepare a theater monologue of their choice. Then, each student will be assigned a monologue by the workshop director. This portion of the class will allow students to practice the basics of professional theater, such as expression, vocal techniques, and adjusting their on-stage energy. They will receive beneficial feedback from experienced actors, build a strong acting network, and use a structured yet creative outlet to prep for that next big role.
On-Screen Acting
Two weeks of our acting class workshop are dedicated to on-screen performance. First, students will prepare and perform a scene from a favorite movie or television series. Then, the instructor will assign material that will challenge and inspire you. During these classes, students will deepen their understanding of what it’s like to film for screen, gaining expertise in camera angles and lighting.
This breakdown allows students to differentiate between theater and on-screen performance while still strengthening their acting foundations.
Classes meet Saturdays at 10 AM, either on Zoom or in person, depending on the session.
